If you are having difficulty coming to terms with something such as illness or the death of a loved one, if you are depressed or struggling with something and can’t cope, have been abused or bullied, having difficulties at home or at work, feeling stressed or anxious, having relationship difficulties or are struggling with issues of abuse from the past, then counselling may be able to help you explore these issues and find a solution.
Counselling offers you a safe and confidential environment in which to explore your issues with someone who is trained to listen and help you come to a resolution. By helping you to understand your difficulties can lead to positive changes for you. Everyone has the solutions to their issues within themselves, but may struggle to do it alone. Traumatic events and loss in its various forms can affect us all in profoundly different ways. My role as a counsellor is to help you explore ways to get to these solutions. It is about moving forward on your life journey with the experiences you have and exploring what may be holding you back. This may at times feel uncomfortable, but I will be on the journey with you by empathising and understanding.
Having worked in counselling for a number of years I can see the difference it makes to people’s lives when they work through issues that have been holding them back. People gain a new outlook on life and are able to move on to a more harmonious life and reach their full potential.

Some comments from Liz’s clients:
Liz –Thank you for all your support and care over the past few months, couldn’t have done it without you!
Liz was very empathic and understanding and helped me work through my complicated grief.
I have been carrying round grief and guilt for many years. I have had other counselling sessions before with little success. However, when I tried EFT I found it a gentle way to help me let go of my grief. Now I can begin to see the world in a different way. Thank you Liz.
—Bereaved client using Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
I have had a phobia of dogs for many years. I have tried many different types of therapies and counselling but my fear was still there which was affecting my leisure time and work. I was a little dubious about this style of counselling as I have not heard about it before I talked to Liz. I gave it a try and what a difference it has made to my life. I began to think of ways I could go out without worrying about facing my phobia. Thank you Liz for helping me make positive changes to my life.

I had some self-limiting beliefs that were holding me back. I was finding life very stressful. I tried some NLP techniques with Liz and found they helped me to work through these. I still have a way to go but now I am more positive that I can change things for the better. The coping strategies were great. Thanks.

I just want to thank you for your time last night, guidance and support. It got my mind back on track and I think it made xxxx think a lot so he has taken A LOT from it also.
